The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office X conducted Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) profiling for displaced workers affected by a recent company shutdown in the municipalities of Libona and Talakag, Bukidnon.
As part of the inter-agency response led by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), partner agencies organized a job fair and skills-related interventions, while DSWD 10 focused on providing psychosocial support and livelihood profiling. The PFA sessions gave participants a safe space to share their concerns and learn coping strategies, while the SLP profiling gathered essential information to determine appropriate livelihood interventions that can support their recovery.
This initiative aligns with the directives of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian to ensure that both the emotional well-being and livelihood opportunities of displaced workers are given priority attention through strong coordination with other national government agencies and local government units.
