ILOILO CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 (DSWD-10), through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), is showcasing locally made products from Northern Mindanao at the 2025 Alunsina: Kabuhayan Convention and Bazaar, held at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol grounds from September 16 to 18.

The three-day national trade fair brings together exhibitors from 18 regions across the country, featuring the best SLP-assisted products. Representing Region 10 are various Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) offering handicrafts, processed food items, and other community-based livelihood goods that reflect the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Northern Mindanaoans.

DSWD-10’s participation underscores its commitment to supporting local livelihood groups by promoting their products and connecting them with broader markets. The agency views events like the Alunsina Bazaar as vital platforms for expanding business opportunities and strengthening community enterprises.

“The Alunsina Convention is not just about showcasing products but also about fostering relationships and building a community of entrepreneurs who can support each other in their journey toward success,”

said Regional Program Coordinator Rhandy Ladoroz, who leads the Region 10 delegation. He is joined by the Regional Training Officer, Regional Administrative Officer, and Regional Social Marketing Officer in facilitating the booth.

The convention runs until September 18, giving shoppers and potential partners the opportunity to explore a diverse range of Filipino-made products—including those proudly crafted in Northern Mindanao.
