𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office X turned over a total of 1,000,000 washable face masks to the Province of Bukidnon as one of the provinces with high cases of the COVID-19 virus.
Today, September 8, 2021, through the Disaster Response Management Division 1,000 boxes with 1,000 washable face masks in each box were officially turned over through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of Bukidnon.

The distribution of these washable face masks is initiated by the DSWD in partnership with the other national government agencies. This is in response to the directive of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte under the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act” or RA 11469, emphasizing strict compliance on safety and health protocols by wearing of face masks in public places conforming to the strategic response of National Action Plan (NAP) against COVID-19 by harnessing and integrating the whole gamut of government’s resources, manpower and expertise.

As such, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) has launched a Face Mask Distribution Project entitled “Libreng Mask Para sa Masa.”

The DSWD with the full coordination of the other national government agencies is continuously implementing safety and health protocols in order to minimize the transmission of the COVID-19.
