October 1, 2021 | With the convergence of all the National Government Agencies (NGAs), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office X actively participated during the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) Mini Caravan held at Iligan City Central Elementary School.

The PCUP Field Operations Division for Mindanao spearheaded the caravan with the theme: “Pinagsama-Samang Serbisyo Para sa Tao,” which aims to provide orientation on government pro-poor programs or services and livelihood opportunities from the different government agencies. This caravan is an avenue for the people to be aware of and be able to know regarding the different programs and services of the different NGAs.

The DSWD FO X staff gave an orientation to the officials from the different barangays of Iligan City as to the programs and services of the department; from its requirements to its processes. There is also a booth/query desk at the front part/outside the designated DSWD area, managed by the DSWD Iligan satellite staff, to entertain issues and concerns from the public.

The Department is constantly coordinating with the different NGAs and LGUs in order to continuously provide efficient and effective services to its people at any given time and avenue.
