The Regional Haven for Women, a residential facility managed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development which provides protective and rehabilitative services to women who are victims of exploitation and abuse , recently celebrated the Buwan ng Wika and Fiesta sa Nayon in the Center.
With the support of the staff and active participation of the residents, the double celebration was a success.
Highlights of the celebration included the Search for Ms.Buwan ng Wika, which gave the residents the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills which helped in developing their sense of confidence as well as their socialization skills.
Group sessions were conducted wherein the theme for the celebration was explained to the residents giving emphasis on the conduct of relevant activities related to language and Filipino culture.
The activities were considered beneficial to both the clients and staff specially in maintaining good working relationship which is very essential in the helping process.
