The 4-day training (January 20 – 24, 2014) is being conducted to ensure able CDD staff manning the CDD implementation in the region. As the field office awaits for the finalization of the National Community-Driven Development Program (NCDDP), all necessary preparations are being done to capacitate CDD staffs preparing them of the challenges ahead.
As of the moment, the CDD Program is now focusing on the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) implementation in the region. 8 municipalities are implementing the PAMANA Project in the region, all of which are in the province of Lanao del Norte. PAMANA is the National Government’s program and framework for peace and development which is implemented in areas affected by conflict and communities covered by existing peace agreements. It is now in partnership with Kalahi-CIDSS. It’s implementation is geared at ensuring that the government can now push on the delivery of basic needs to municipalities/barangays affected by armed conflict in the region by focusing on the needs of the community.
