Hosted by the Province of Lanao del Norte, three hundred youth representing various municipalities and cities in Northern Mindanao gathered in the capital town of Tubod for a three day celebration of the PYAP 41st Anniversary.

With this year’s theme, ““PYAP Kusganong Kaakohan sa Pag-amping sa Kinaiyahan”, the participants coming from Cagayan de Oro City, Ozamiz City, Valencia City, El Salvador City,,Gingoog City , and Iligan City had their hands full of activities for the three-day celebration.

Among the highlights of the anniversary celebration were the Solidarity Night, Search for Mr. and Ms. PYAP 2015 and the tree planting within the vicinity of the Mindanao Civic Center. Lectures were also given by various partner agencies on Responsible Parenthood, Health Lifestyle,Trafficking in Persons,Basic Life and HIV .

Ms.Annabelle Mendez (Acting Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer) thanked the participants for joining the Annual celebration as she believed that the youth can do a lot to advocate that Lanao del Norte has a lot to boost aside from being the Motocross Capital of the Philippines and not a conflict area .

The Pag –asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) came into existence in carrying out the goal of providing opportunities for the youth in order to actualize their potentials, aspirations,experiences, self-fulfillment and in the process,contribute to the growth of their communities as they participate in the task of nation building.
