The DSWD Field Office 10 Disaster Operation Center in Iligan City continuously monitors the situation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) coming from Marawi City.

The status of IDPs have increased to 13, 832 families or 66,383 persons of which 1,460 families or 6,867 persons are inside evacuation centers while 12,372 families or 59,516 persons are home-based IDPs.

The city of Iligan housed a total of 789 families in four evacuation centers (EC) while Baloi has 431 families in four ECs, Pantar with a total of 104 families in on EC and Pantao Ragat with 115 families in three ECs.

Additional evacuation centers were opened today due to the opening of classes. In Baloi, Lanao del Norte, it has opened Nangka Barangay Hall and Madrasah Sapacan to accommodate IDPs previously housed at Nangka Elementary School which is now closed.

In Pantar, two evacuation centers were closed and IDPs moved to their respective relatives hence there is an increase on the number of home-based IDPs in the area.

The Home-based IDPs have increased to 12,372 families of which Iligan City has 4, 261 families, Baloi with 2,223 families, Bacolod with 162 families, SND with 86 families, Tangcal with 105 families, Matungao with 525 families, Pantar with 1,071 families, Magsaysay with 49 families, Maigo with 94 families, Tubod with 105 families, Sapad with 115 families, Kolambugan with 168 families, Kapatagan with 36 families, Linamon with 125 families, Tagoloan with 253 families, Lala with 25 families, Salvador with 38 families, Poona Piagapo with 290 families, Munai with 144 families, Pantao Ragat 854 families, Baroy with 3 families, and Kauswagan has 231 families.

The validated home-based IDPs in Cagayan de Oro have increased to 893 families while 8 families have been reported housed in the municipality of Kinoguitan with 8 families, 23 families in Alubijid and 485 families in Opol, Misamis Oriental.

The Field Office 10 has already provided a total cost of assistance amounting to Php 12,053,705.00, of which Php 2,453,404.00 worth of Non-food items and family food packs worth Php 9,600,301.00. While Local Government Units of Iligan City and Lanao del Norte has extended a total assistance worth Php 1,852,442.90. Some Non-government agencies have also extended Php 15,000.00.
