The COVID-19 pandemic has changed so many lives all over the world. Companies and business establishments were stopped while some follow skeletal workforce schemes. Unemployment sprang while many suffered, especially the children and elders, due to the job retrenchments of their breadwinners. Affected most are the less privileged who cannot provide the basic needs of their loved ones.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 never ceases to help these families especially during this time of crisis.
The agency sent out its staff in San Fernando, Bukidnon to answer their pleas. There are 558 family beneficiaries who are qualified to receive P6,000 each under the Emergency Subsidy Program (ESP). Payout is scheduled for two (2) days starting today.
The DSWD-10 hopes that with this cash assistance, these families will have some glimmer of hope knowing that food is available yet again to sustain them, and that medicines can now be purchased for their loved ones who are sick.
