558 qualified families in San Fernando bukidnon will receive P6,000 each under ESP

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed so many lives all over the world. Companies and business establishments were stopped while some follow skeletal workforce schemes. Unemployment sprang while many suffered, especially the children and elders, due to the job retrenchments of their breadwinners. Affected most are the less privileged who cannot provide the basic needs of their loved ones.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 never ceases to help these families especially during this time of crisis.

The agency sent out its staff in San Fernando, Bukidnon to answer their pleas. There are 558 family beneficiaries who are qualified to receive P6,000 each under the Emergency Subsidy Program (ESP). Payout is scheduled for two (2) days starting today.

The DSWD-10 hopes that with this cash assistance, these families will have some glimmer of hope knowing that food is available yet again to sustain them, and that medicines can now be purchased for their loved ones who are sick.

A total of 893 beneficiaries in Cagayan de Oro City will receive P6,000 each

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 sees the continuing effect of the COVID-19 pandemic especially those from the low-income and poor families in the region.

DSWD-FO 10 continues to serve these families with better services which aims to provide assistance to their basic needs under the Emergency Subsidy Program (ESP), being implemented under the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act or Bayanihan 2.

A total of 893 qualified family beneficiaries in Cagayan de Oro City will receive P6,000 each. The payout started today with expected 450 families to be served while the remaining 443 families will be served the next day.

The DSWD-FO 10 never stops reaching out to the poor. Health is at risk but its staff never turn back their commitment to serve.

DSWD-10 distributed cash subsidy to 277 families in Tubod, LDN

Having lost jobs and their livelihood and micro-enterprises affected, many low-income families in Tubod, Lanao del Norte had been struggling to make ends meet. With the DSWD’s mandate to respond to these families’ desperate call for help, the Department distributed cash subsidy to 277 family beneficiaries under its Emergency Subsidy Program (ESP).

ESP is one of the programs of the DSWD that is being implemented under the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act or Bayanihan 2.

Qualified beneficiaries under the ESP are those who are considered low-income families but were not able to receive financial assistance under Social Amelioration Program, has not received any cash assistance from other government agencies, and those low-income families who live in areas that were declared under granular lockdown by the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force – Emergency Infectious Diseases (RIATF-EID) starting from September 13 to present.

The subsidy is intended for them to be able to purchase necessary and basic needs such as food and medicines, while they cope with the crisis brought about by COVID-19.

DSWD-10 respond to families whose lives have been affected by the Pandemic

The future’s uncertainty on how to feed your children because of financial scarcity is one of the most horrific feelings parents could experience.

With this painful pandemic that has hurt thousands of livelihood, small businesses, and jobs across the globe, it is but inevitable for families to demand assistance from the government.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 has heard their plea for help.

Under its Emergency Subsidy Program, the DSWD-10 deployed its worforce, processed payrolls, conducted assessments, validation and deduplication, just to respond to the needs of families whose lives have been affected by the harsh impact of COVID-19.

In Valencia City, Bukidnon, 820 low-income families received P6,000 each to subsidize their daily subsistence.

The DSWD-10 assures that while there are health risks and limited movements involved during distribution of subsidies, it will not stop from doing its job to help the poor.

The DSWD-10 aims to make sure that families, especially their children, are able to eat and not go hungry, while they cope with the economic challenges caused by the pandemic.

DSWD FO10 helps poor families affected by COVID-19

DSWD-10 understands the predicaments faced by poor families whose income and other economic activities were incapacitated due to the pandemic.

With this awareness, the DSWD-10 propelled its workforce to conduct Emergency Subsidy Program payout to 302 families affected by the pandemic in Kibawe, Bukidnon.

Each qualified family receives their subsidy amounting to P6,000.00 under Republic Act 11494 or the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act (Bayanihan 2).

These are families whose local government units implemented the granular lockdown starting September 13, 2020 until today in their respective barangays, purok, sitios, or streets, with the endorsement of the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force – Emerging Infectious Diseases (RIATF-EID).
