Yet, within her family’s humble abode, a spirit of unwavering dedication thrived.

Her parents, Eve Joy and Bryan epitomized the ethos of hard work and perseverance.

Despite the weight of financial constraints, they harbored dreams of providing a better future for their children, anchored on the belief that education was the beacon of hope for transcending socioeconomic barriers.

Their journey intertwined with the inception of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), a lifeline for families trapped by poverty.

Through this program, Shania’s family found solace amidst economic turbulence and received the support needed to weather the storm.

For Shania and her siblings, education ceased to be an elusive dream.

With notebooks brimming, uniforms adorned, and minds fueled by knowledge, they embarked on a learning journey, buoyed by the financial assistance extended through 4Ps scholarships and government subsidies.

Amid the rigors of academia, Shania stood undeterred, her resolve unyielding.

Armed with unwavering determination, she charted a course toward a brighter tomorrow, navigating the corridors of higher education with fortitude.

On October 31, 2019, the culmination of her arduous journey materialized as she stood on the threshold of academic triumph, adorned with the laurels of a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from North Central Mindanao College.

However, Shania’s odyssey transcended personal milestones, epitomizing collective effort’s transformative power.

She channels her passion for service into tangible change through her role as a Social Work Officer I in Lanao del Norte province and her current position as Municipal Link at the DSWD Field Office X.

Guided by the principle of paying it forward, Shania used to help Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in the Municipality of Lala, helping those navigating the tumultuous waters of poverty.

Now, she is working as the Municipal Link in Lantapan, Bukidnon.

Amidst the accolades and achievements, Shania remains grounded, mindful of the journey that shaped her.

Her family’s modest dwelling, now transformed into a sanctuary of dreams, is a testament to their indomitable spirit and collective endeavor.

As Shania reflects on her odyssey, she remains steadfast in her commitment to uplift others.

She echos the sentiment that every family, irrespective of their circumstances, can find solace in unity, optimism, and unwavering faith.
