The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) has launched a campaign to prevent Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) by conducting Youth Development Sessions (YDS) with senior high school students in Northern Mindanao.

The 4Ps YDS sessions aim to educate both 4Ps and non-4Ps students on the dangers of OSAEC and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM). The sessions cover the elements, circumstances, prevention strategies, and proper reporting procedures related to online sexual abuse and exploitation.
4Ps workers, through Municipal and City Links, have been reaching out to schools where 4Ps beneficiaries and non-4Ps students are enrolled. The 4Ps Regional Program Management Office recently conducted a session at Kapatagan National High School in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, engaging all senior high school students in an in-depth discussion on the module.
4Ps is working closely with the Department of Education (DepEd) to ensure the continuous rollout of the module across schools in Northern Mindanao.
This initiative seeks to raise awareness and equip students with the knowledge to protect themselves and others from online abuse.
Northern Mindanao remains one of the regions with the highest cases of OSAEC in the country, with Iligan City recording the most cases in the region.
By strengthening awareness and prevention measures, 4Ps hopes to curb the alarming rise of online abuse and exploitation among children.
