Volunteers from Barangay Catibac, Catarman, Camiguin Province completed the construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert with concrete approach slab last year. The project was through the Department of Social Welfare and Development poverty alleviation program Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services: National Community Driven Development Program (Kalahi CIDSS-NCDDP). The community volunteers, barangay officials and residents assures the maintenance of the sub-project by conducting regular clean-up activities to avoid clogging and maintain the free flow of water especially during the rainy season. The total project cost is Php 863,156.00 with KALAHI CIDSS NCDDP grant at Php 841,450.03 and local government unit counterpart of Php 21,705.97.
