One of the safety measures on how to protect oneself from falling objects or debris in case of earthquakes is to duck, cover, and hold

Amidst the response to battle the effects of the pandemic, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held today, September 10, 2020 for the protection of its employees and staff in the event of earthquake occurrences.

Under Republic Act 10121, the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices are directed to conduct public awareness on self-protection on earthquake occurrences through the conduct of drills. In partnership with the LDRRMO, the DSWD-10 directs all its employees and staff to participate in the earthquake drill to educate them on what to do should an earthquake occur in their offices.

The DSWD-10 prioritizes the welfare of its employees and staff and provides programs and welfare protection measures to ensure their safety in the course of their duties. Xxxcpt
