The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Kalipunan sa Bukidnon, celebrates its 6th year anniversary on May 2017. An event joined by all DSWD workers in the province of Bukidnon, as a thanksgiving gathering after enduring and surpassing the challenges of public service.

The Kalipunan formerly known as convergence in Bukidnon under the leadership of Mr. Christopher Capinpin, introduced this “Kalipunan Gathering” since 2011.

“The event aims to strengthen the camaraderie between and among the DSWD field workers through teambuilding activities, with a hope to create a more positive and productive working environment, leading towards the better delivery of programs and social services to the partner beneficiaries”, Mr. Capinpin narrates.

The teambuilding activities include Sports Competition and variety shows, where teams comprise of staff working from various programs of DSWD such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Sustainable Livelihood Program, KALAHI-CIDSS and others.

Apart from teambuilding activities, the provincial office also sends out various certificates of recognition and awards to all hardworking men and women in the field as a sort of motivation and encouragement to consistently thrives and be better public servants. All deserving staffs who have worked above par expectations are rewarded, not to undermine the others but mostly to inspire them to improve and continue the good work they are doing.

“The over-all performance of Bukidnon workers has greatly helped in improving the lives of our beneficiaries”, says Manuel M. Borres, the Assistant Regional Director for Administration.

“Let us continue to be the voice of the voiceless and the reflection of great convergence efforts of all programs and services of DSWD, partner stakeholders and Civil Society Organizations in improving the well-being of the program beneficiaries,” Borres, adds.

The DSWD Kalipunan sa Bukidnon serves twenty municipalities and two cities with about 74,700 beneficiaries. The DSWD Provincial Operations Office is located at Old Provincial Hospital, Capitol Compound, Barangay 9, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
