The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is one of the Core Capacity Building Programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development aimed to improve the socio-economic condition of the program beneficiaries by facilitating opportunities for development and management of resources viable for micro-enterprises and employment facilitation.

Beneficiaries of the SLP Program are provided opportunities to be trained in various technical and vocational skills, in coordination with various institutions and Agencies, as a means for them to earn additional income for their families and in the process, become self-sufficient and independent from economic support from the government.
