Cagayan de Oro – In the quest to uplift the economic condition of the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), the DSWD has recently signed Memorandums of Agreement with 22 Technical Vocational Institutions with continues to strengthen the implementation of skills enhancement trainings to the poor families in the region. The provision of these trainings is one of the capacity-building strategies of the SLP to prepare the families to be better at managing their livelihood activities and opportunities in an utmost quality.
The signing of MOA with the 22 Technical Vocational Institutions marked another milestone to the department’s mission to improve the lives of Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries. With this additional P96.7M budget for SLP’s TechVoc, 5,671 qualified beneficiaries will be given opportunity to study and build their own future.

There are now 2,693 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries of SLP who finished Technical Vocational (TechVoc) Courses of which 247 graduates are regularly employed to various companies here and abroad.
The SLP is a multi-stakeholder program of the department that aims to improve the standard of living of poor households by facilitating opportunities for development and management of resources viable for micro-enterprises, community empowerment through skills trainings and employment facilitation.
