The Regional Haven for Women in Northern Mindanao commemorated the Family Day celebration with this year’s theme , “Celebrating the Filipino Families: Resilient and Caring.

Activities for the one day activity participated in by the residents and some invited family members included a mass officiated by Msgr. Florencio Salvador. This was then followed by a short program showcasing the talents of the residents and parlor games facilitated by the houseparents and Center staff. Residents had the chance to reunite, socialize and, and strengthen family ties.

The Regional Haven for Women is a residential facility managed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. It provides protective and rehabilitative services to women who are victims of exploitation and abuse.
The Center annually celebrates Family Day with the participation and cooperation of the residents along with the support of the staff.

Another highlight of the day-long activity was the conduct of group sessions and family conferences with the presence of representatives from their respective Local Government Units particularly from the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices where the residents come from .
