The Department of Social Welfare and Development will train 1,654 enumerators this month before the latter’s deployment for the Department’s Listahanan Second Round Assessment come June.
The enumerators, along with area coordinators and area supervisors are expected to be deployed immediately after the training, and will be paying courtesy calls to local government units prior to their household assessment activities.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development aims to assess 793,989 poor households in the region and is set to be conducted within this quarter.
Listahanan or the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) is an information management system that generates data of who and where the poor are in the country.
The DSWD also encourages national government agencies, civil society organizations and other stakeholders to utilize the database as basis in identifying potential beneficiaries of their social welfare programs and services. Today, there are more than eighty four (84) offices and groups that are using the Listahanan database.
The enumerators, being the front liners of the assessment, will be assigned in the various municipalities and provinces all over the region.
The assessment is targeted to be completed within the month of June this year.
