Northern Mindanao – For over a month of conducting household assessments, 480,326 households all over Northern Mindanao have been assessed out of the 793,989 targeted households for assessment.

For the rural areas , assessments are almost done while for the urban areas and cities, assessments are still ongoing .

Assessments in the rural areas were done using the Family Assessment Forms while for those in the urban areas and cities, enumerators used tablets for the household assessments which are directly sent to the Regional database encoding centers .

The Listahanan or the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) Second Round Assessment is currently being conducted nationwide.

The first Round of Assessment was conducted in 2009 with over three hundred thousand households identified as poor here in Northern Mindanao.

The Listahanan or the NHTS-PR is the data management system that the government uses in identifying the potential beneficiaries of the various programs and services of the Department and other Partner Agencies and stakeholders who have engaged with the Department of Social Welfare and Development through a Memorandum of Agreement for the utilization of the Listahanan database.

The public is again informed that the households assessments should be conducted within their household and not in barangay halls, health centers, and other public gathering places and that the assessment is for free. No fee is to be collected from the households assessed and that its objective is purely for data gathering purposes and not an assurance for their inclusion in any program of the Department particularly the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps).
