The Institutional Development Division of DSWD Northern Mindanao is continuing its wellness program for DSWD workers to promote physical fitness and to boost everyone’s morale.

IDD chief Portia Roldan said the activity will also strengthened camaraderie among workers.

The activity dubbed Hataw, is a series of aerobic dance session ranging from 45 minutes to one hour every afternoon of the first and third Friday of the month.

Organized teams will lead each session.

Each team can teach workers either through ‘follow the video’ dance routines, Xbox dance battles, Zumba dance classes, or by movie presentations on health and fitness.

Meanwhile, indoor fitness equipment is now installed inside DSWD main building, beside the conference room.

As started, workers can use the equipment like the manual treadmill, stationary bike, and other cardio-dedicated equipment.

Atty. Araceli F. Solamillo, Regional Director of DSWD Northern Mindanao, stressed that each workers should strive to adopt healthy lifestyle, such as regular physical exercise.

Solamillo added that the equipment are for free of use to all DSWD employees.###
