KUMUSTA NA? A DSWD-10 employee interviews a beneficiary of Transitory Family Support Package (TFSP) and Livelihood Settlement Grant (LSG) on how his family used the DSWD financial aid intended for them to recover from their losses they have had in the 2017 Marawi Siege.

To see how far the Transitory Family Support Package (TFSP) and Livelihood Settlement Grant (LSG) have helped the families who were affected by the Marawi Siege in 2017, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 interviews beneficiaries of the said cash assistance during the second round of TFSP distribution in the city today, September 9, 2020.

In 2019, when the first round of distribution of the TFSP and LSG was conducted, each internally displaced family received P53,000 and P20,000 respectively from the DSWD-10 for them to be able to recover from their losses in the 2017 armed conflict.

These cash assistance grants were intended for them to settle with their own livelihood and income-generating projects that could sustain them financially whilst they recover back to normalcy.

Both TFSP and LSG are implemented projects under the Bangon Marawi Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Program (BMCRRP).

Based on the monitoring of the DSWD-10, the families were able to use these grants expeditiously for their micro-entrepreneurial projects and small-scale businesses such as opening and running mini-stores and operating public transportation.

The DSWD-10 is set to serve 17,905 internally displaced families in Marawi City with TFSP. xxxcpt
