The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 10 (DSWD) has extended its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). A total of 599 participants received PHP 15,000 each as aid for their livelihood. The distribution took place in two batches: Batch 1 on December 17, 2024, and Batch 2 on February 13, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

The first batch, consisting of 240 participants, received a total of PHP 3,600,000.00, while the second batch received the remaining PHP 5,385,000.00, benefiting 359 participants.  The micro-enterprise development program has an overall budget of PHP 8,985,000.00.

Following a one-month implementation period, the participants will be turned over to MSSD-BARMM for ongoing monitoring. The micro-enterprise development modality targets both 4Ps and non-4Ps participants. Selection for the program was based on specific eligibility criteria and was assisted by the MSSD-BARMM.

SLP aims to alleviate poverty and improve the socio-economic well-being of poor, vulnerable, and marginalized households. By providing seed capital, the program empowers participants to start or expand their livelihoods, thereby promoting financial stability and enhancing their overall quality of life.
