Mylin Virador Tayapad, a finalist for the Department of Agriculture’s 2023 National Outstanding Rural Women award and a 4Ps beneficiary from Purok Baybay, Población, Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, is dedicated to enhancing the livelihoods of her fellow beneficiaries.

As a farmer and entrepreneur, Tayapad leads the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) association in Lagonglong. The group specializes in producing and distributing Bapola Banana Chips and Turmeric Powder throughout Misamis Oriental.

In 2022, SLP provided Tayapad and her association with a P375,000 grant for their banana chips and turmeric powder production. This funding enabled the purchase of a slicer machine and a stainless-steel table.
