As a farmer and entrepreneur, Tayapad leads the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) association in Lagonglong. The group specializes in producing and distributing Bapola Banana Chips and Turmeric Powder throughout Misamis Oriental.

Championing food security: Mylin Tayapad and the 4Ps women of Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, boost Northern Mindanao’s food resilience with their homemade banana chips and turmeric powders.

In 2022, SLP provided Tayapad and her association with a P375,000 grant for their banana chips and turmeric powder production. This funding enabled the purchase of a slicer machine and a stainless-steel table.
