The DSWD Field Office X has become a beacon of support for budding entrepreneurs through its steadfast backing of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program.

This initiative, championed by DSWD Field Office X headed by Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen, has provided a platform for local businesses and has become a pivotal avenue for residents to access fresh agricultural produce at affordable prices.

DSWD Field Office X Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen supports local entrepreneurs by purchasing fresh vegetables at the Kadiwa caravan display inside the newly opened Provincial Government Center of Camiguin.

Director Jamen has allocated a dedicated space for displaying Kadiwa products, facilitating bi-monthly trading on the 15th and 30th of each month.

This initiative has enabled local traders to exhibit their goods prominently, attracting scores of consumers eager to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and other locally sourced products.

The Kadiwa initiative has garnered significant traction, particularly during paydays, as DSWD workers flock to the displays to procure quality goods at reasonable prices.

By bridging the gap between producers and consumers, Kadiwa caravans offer an array of agricultural produce and food items that cater to the community’s diverse needs.

Director Jamen emphasized the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs: “Kadiwa ng Pangulo is not just about economic transactions; it’s about fostering community resilience and empowering our local producers.

DSWD aims to promote sustainable livelihoods through this initiative while ensuring access to nutritious food options for all.
