The Fraternal Order of Eagles of the Manos de Oro Eagles Club has extended a helping hand to the Home for Girls, a residential facility under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office X.

The donation, which includes sports equipment and school supplies, aims to enrich the lives of the facility’s 65 residential clients.

The donation ceremony at the covered court of the DSWD Field Office X in Cagayan de Oro City marked a significant moment of generosity and collaboration.

Assistant Regional Director for Administration Salmah M. Basher graciously accepted the donation for the Home for Girls and Field Office X.

She expressed deep gratitude to the Eagles Club for their thoughtful contribution, emphasizing the positive impact it would have on the recipients’ lives.

The sports equipment donation includes volleyball balls, basketballs, badminton rackets, and nets, providing the girls with avenues for physical activity and recreation. Additionally, the Eagles Club put all the school supplies in folders, ensuring that the clients’ educational needs are met with care and attention.

During the turnover ceremony, Club President Juven Aljo symbolically handed over the donation to Assistant Regional Director Basher, underscoring the commitment of the Eagles Club to support the local community.

Aljo reaffirmed the Eagles Club’s dedication to serving the community. He pledged to continue collaborating with the DSWD Field Office X and its affiliated facilities, expressing a commitment to assist further and support those in need.
